Technology Teacher (Food Tech and/or Design & Technology)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Technology Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Salford starting September 2025. This full-time position is offered on a temporary to permanent basis, with strong potential for a long-term career within the school.
The role involves teaching Food Technology and/or Design & Technology to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will be confident in planning and delivering practical and engaging lessons, promoting creativity and technical skills while maintaining strong behaviour management in a supportive classroom environment.
The school boasts excellent facilities, a collaborative staff team, and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning. It is easily accessible via public transport from Salford, Manchester, Bolton, and surrounding areas. Candidates will be paid to scale -MPS/UPS (£31,650 - £49,084).
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Food Tech and/or Design & Technology to KS3 and KS4.
* Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and practical lessons.
* Support students’ development in both practical and theoretical knowledge.
* Contribute to department planning and extracurricular activities.
* Uphold the school's values and support its wider educational mission.
What We Are Looking For:
* A fully qualified teacher with UK QTS.
* Specialism in Food Technology, Design & Technology, or both.
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
* A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
* A commitment to high-quality teaching and raising student achievement.
