Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:
3. Preparing and delivering monthly management accounts for key cost centres
4. Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for central overheads
5. Producing financial commentary to explain performance trends to senior stakeholders
6. Maintaining accurate general ledger records, accruals, and prepayments
7. Supporting the audit process with timely and accurate reporting
8. Collaborating cross-functionally with operational and commercial teams
9. Identifying and driving improvements in reporting and controls
The Successful Applicant
The successful Management Accountant will be:
10. Part-Qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) - study support available
11. 2+ years' experience in a management accounting or financial reporting role
12. Confident Excel user (pivot tables, lookups, ideally basic macros)
13. Comfortable working independently and partnering with senior non-finance stakeholders
14. Eye for detail and a strong sense of ownership over deadlines
15. A proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving
