Position: CNC & Manual Turner Location: North Somerset Salary: £18 - £20 per hour (DOE) CNC & Manual Turner required to join a leading engineering company specialising in the manufacture, design, and development of precision-engineered components and tooling across a wide range of industries. As a Manual & CNC Turner, you will be responsible for producing high-precision components using both manual lathes and CNC turning centres. CNC & Manual Turner Job Overview Set up, operate, and programme (where required) CNC turning machines. Operate manual lathes for bespoke or low-volume components. Read and interpret technical drawings, models, and specifications. Manufacture high-precision parts for industries including aerospace, food processing, tooling, and general engineering. Inspect components using measuring equipment such as micrometers, verniers, and gauges to ensure accuracy and quality. Work on components such as turbine blades, aero engine parts, test pieces, tooling modifications, and specialist assemblies. Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and inspection teams to ensure smooth workflow. Support maintenance and reconditioning tasks when required.
