Job Description:
We are sourcing a freelance medical editor, for a key client on a part time contract (2-3 days a week) until the end of June.
Key Responsibilities:
* Edit and proofread medical content across the full spectrum of medical and commercial communications, ensuring clarity, flow, and alignment with client style
* Styling and retemplating slide decks/documents
* Liaising with Designers / Creative team to check content pre vs post layout/formatting
* Perform non-complex data checks as needed
* Collaborate closely with Medical, Client Services, Design and Project Management to maintain content quality and relevance, and to deliver against agreed timelines
* Work across multiple brands/products, adhering to client preferences for all
Qualifications and Skills:
* Exceptional proofreading and editing capabilities
* Familiarity with the principles and implementation of recognised industry editing standards (e.g. AMA, Vancouver, and APA)
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* An understanding of medical terminology and principles, and experience conducting thorough fact-checking and source verification
* Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
