We are currently recruiting multiple Civil Design Engineers (Water) with experience in wastewater and/or clean water networks for various long-term water industry frameworks across the UK.
RPS, in partnership with Tetra Tech, has secured a £100 million framework from United Utilities to enhance river health in Northwest England. With over 20 years of collaboration with United Utilities, we are at an exciting phase of delivering innovative water projects as we approach AMP8, focusing on program optimization and sustainable solutions.
About The Team
RPS Water Consulting comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy services to support our water industry clients. We work on prestigious AMP8 programs, shaping the future of water infrastructure in the UK.
About You
As a Principal Civil Design Engineer, you will be instrumental in delivering projects for our water clients, working with a multidisciplinary team on capital projects, including wastewater infrastructure. Your role involves contributing to feasibility, outline, and detailed design, ensuring high-quality outputs that make a positive impact on communities.
Your Responsibilities
1. Engaging with clients to understand their needs.
2. Developing design drawings and construction documentation.
3. Participating in feasibility and optioneering assessments.
4. Producing well-organized calculations, reports, and drawings.
5. Collaborating with contractors and stakeholders.
6. Mentoring graduate engineers.
Skills, Knowledge And Experience
* Proven experience in technical design across disciplines.
* Strong influencing and management skills.
* Knowledge of British Standards, UK Industry Codes, and Water Specifications.
Qualifications
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
* Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body such as IET, InstMC, or CIWEM.
