EYFS Teaching Assistant – Newcastle | January Start
We are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming nursery setting in Newcastle starting January. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about early years education and supporting young children in their developmental journey.
Location: Newcastle
Start Date: January 2026
Pay Rate: £100–£110 per day (dependent on experience & qualifications)
About the Role
You will be supporting children across the Early Years Foundation Stage, providing general classroom support as well as assisting children with SEND needs within the nursery environment. The ideal candidate will be confident, nurturing, and able to adapt to the individual needs of each child.
Key Responsibilities
Support the class teacher in delivering engaging EYFS activities
Work with small groups and individual pupils
Provide tailored support to children with SEND
Promote a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
Assist with day-to-day routines within the nursery
Requirements
Relevant EYFS qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare/Early Years or equivalent)
Experience working within early years settings
Knowledge of EYFS framework
Experience supporting SEND is desirable
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
