Contract Manager (Construction) – Luton
Newstaff Employment is hiring an experienced Contract Manager in Luton to oversee contract processes across multiple construction projects and ensure successful delivery on time and within budget.
Location: Luton
Salary: £50, – £70, per annum (negotiable depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 am – 5:00 pm

Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the full contract lifecycle from preparation and negotiation to completion
2. Review contract documents for accuracy, compliance, and completeness
3. Build strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
4. Monitor project progress and ensure all contractual obligations are met
5. Identify and reduce risks linked to contracts and project delivery
6. Resolve disputes and claims through effective negotiation
7. Maintain all contract records and documentation in line with company procedures
8. Keep up to date with construction law, regulations, and industry best practice
9. Support project teams with contractual guidance and commercial advice
Essential Skills & Experience
10. Degree in Construction Management, Contract Law, or related field
11. Proven experience as a Contract Manager within the construction sector
12. Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and legal terminology
13. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
14. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
15. Proficient with contract management systems and Microsoft Office
16. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
17. Professional certification, such as CCM or CPCM is advantageous
