Job Title – Education Officer – Men’s Academy
Location – Cobham Training Ground
Contract: 1-year fixed term, 40 hours per week
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday (5 days), Academy academic term time only
Closing date: 10th July
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an Education Officer to support the delivery of our Academy education programme, primarily working with U17–U18 scholars.
You’ll deliver high-quality BTEC sessions, provide tailored academic support, and help create a structured, engaging learning environment that complements the demands of elite football.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging BTEC Sporting Excellence & Performance sessions, including planning, teaching and assessment
- Support learners to achieve target grades through structured coursework guidance and academic interventions
- Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual learning needs
- Adapt delivery to suit players on accelerated pathways, loans or first team involvement
- Contribute to Functional Skills delivery (English and/or Maths) where required
- Monitor attendance, engagement and academic progress, implementing targeted interventions as needed
- Maintain accurate records of assessment, progress and outcomes in line with quality assurance standards
- Support the wider Academy education programme, including travel with age groups on tours, camps and fixtures to ensure continuity of learning
What you will bring to the role:
Essential
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience delivering BTEC or similar vocational qualifications
- Experience working with 16–18-year-olds
- Strong ability to track progress and support learner development
- Confident delivering flexible, individualised learning
- Strong organisation, communication and classroom management skills
- Good understanding of safeguarding and duty of care
Desirable
- Experience in professional sport or academy environments
- Knowledge of Premier League / Academy education standards
- Experience delivering Functional Skills (English and/or Maths)
- Experience supporting mixed-ability learners or flexible learning environments
