Overview
Quantity Surveyor position in Broxburn, United Kingdom. Joining a leading specialist subcontractor working across building, civil and nuclear sectors with opportunities to develop within a busy commercial environment.
What you'll do
* Work on a range of small and medium-sized contracts within the core specialist area.
* Manage projects from initial quotation and specification through to final accounts and handover.
* Compile winning quotations and bids for multiple projects in collaboration with the operational team.
* Ensure bids and projects are completed correctly to support payment processes.
* Maintain significant communication and coordination with the operational team and clients via phone and site visits.
* Demonstrate strong organisation and administration skills and excellent communication abilities in a busy role.
What you'll need to succeed
* Some commercial experience or qualifications (e.g., degree or diploma in quantity surveying).
* A hard-working, committed attitude with an interest in developing commercial expertise within a construction environment.
* Preferably experience from a practical, site-based role transitioning to office-based commercial work.
* Exceptional communication skills for frequent interaction with clients and operational teams.
