Job Description:
To lead on prevention and intervention to help our residents sustain their tenancies. Our team is based within the Housing Tenancy Management Team and works with internal and external stakeholders to contribute to the Council's vision of keeping communities safe. The role focuses on intervening and resolving reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, with quick and accurate referrals/signposting to support residents, especially vulnerable ones, ensuring they feel safe at home.
Responsibilities include:
* Addressing reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse
* Supporting victims of Domestic Abuse within HRA and General needs stock, ensuring risk assessment and safety planning
* Attending meetings with stakeholders to resolve ASB cases
* Providing a resident-focused response to ASB complaints
* Creating action plans for case resolution
* Utilising legislation and good practice for preventative and legal actions, including mediation
* Conducting interviews with complainants, witnesses, and alleged perpetrators
* Preparing and serving legal notices and representing the organisation in court as needed
* Ensuring positive communication with victims, families, and perpetrators
* Providing detailed reports based on evidence and analysis
* Handling safeguarding matters promptly and effectively
* Managing complex and high-risk cases involving vulnerable perpetrators
Key skills and requirements include a full driving license, use of a vehicle, and experience managing tenancy breaches in the public sector.
