Role Overview
We’re looking for a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic team.
In this role, you’ll lead the design and delivery of high-end residential projects for our sister company, August across Spain, Italy, France and the UK, as well as a range of commercial and hospitality schemes. You’ll oversee the full project lifecycle — from concept development through to installation — and take responsibility for managing a small design team on select high-value projects to ensure exceptional creative and operational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Creative & Design Leadership
* Lead and deliver design presentations, pitches, workshops, and internal creative meetings.
* Produce innovative, inspirational, and commercially viable designs — on time, on budget, and aligned with client expectations and internal targets.
* Create complete design packages, from concept through to construction documentation (AutoCAD: floor plans, elevations, electrical layouts, etc.).
* Research, specify, and source materials, finishes, and equipment — with a focus on durability, lead times, and budget.
* Develop and maintain supplier relationships across European and regional markets.
Project Coordination
* Coordinate onsite design execution in collaboration with regional project managers.
* Oversee FF&E installation, including working with local teams, handymen, and electricians.
* Source and style local pieces as part of the final design execution.
Skills & Competencies
* Strong organisational and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects at pace.
* Highly creative with exceptional attention to detail.
* Proactive, positive, and adaptable with an owner’s mindset.
* Comfortable working with and representing the company to senior leadership, stakeholders, and VIP clients.
* Proven ability to lead and deliver interior design projects from concept to completion.
* Skilled in managing and developing both in-house and freelance design teams.
* Comprehensive knowledge of design principles and strong architectural detailing,
* Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and good knowledge of Google Workspace.
Experience & Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
* Minimum 7 years’ experience in a senior designer role, covering concept development, client management, and project delivery.
* Demonstrable track record of creating exceptional design work through to final installation.
* Proficiency in Spanish or Italian is a strong advantage.
* Full UK driving licence required.
Hours and Package
* Hours: Full time
* Salary: Based on experience, between £50–60k
* Incentive: Bonus package
* Location: Hybrid – 2–3 days in our London Office
