The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant (1:1), you will work closely with a specific student, providing tailored support to help them succeed academically and personally. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building a strong rapport with the student and understanding their individual needs
- Providing one-to-one support during lessons and activities
- Implementing personalized learning strategies and interventions
- Assisting with the student's social and emotional development
- Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to create and adapt learning materials
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to support the student's growth
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for a caring and adaptable individual who is committed to making a difference in the lives of students. The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience working with children or young people with SEN
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate empathy, patience, and resilience in challenging situations
- Be proactive and flexible in supporting the student's learning and development
- Hold relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (desirable but not essential)
