About the Role (Part-Time Permanent): Delivering engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons across the curriculum, potentially catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and/or Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11) in line with the National Curriculum. Creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and an appreciation for diverse religious and philosophical viewpoints. Contributing to the ongoing development of the RE curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision and national guidelines. Building strong relationships with students and fostering their confidence and curiosity about RE. Participating in departmental and whole-school events, contributing to the wider school community (pro-rated for part-time role). The Ideal Candidate: A qualified RE teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students in RE. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment that explores a variety of religions and philosophies. Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and backgrounds. A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive and stimulating learning environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
