Location: Harlow (Covering London & South East)
Salary: £34,000 £36,000 per annum (DOE) + Overtime
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and multi-skilled Drainage Engineer to join a well-established and growing drainage and plumbing specialist based in Harlow. This is a field-based role covering London and the South East, offering a varied workload and excellent long-term stability.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality drainage and plumbing services, working both independently and as part of a team. The role requires flexibility, as there will be occasional evening, weekend work, and participation in a 24-hour call-out rota.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out a wide range of drainage and basic plumbing works
* Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment
* Conduct CCTV surveys (OS19/OS20) using Wincan software
* Perform drain lining and patch repairs
* Undertake excavation and repair works where required
* Attend site visits, provide quotes, and carry out estimations
* Work with electro-mechanical equipment (including Picote where applicable)
* Ensure all works are completed in line with Health & Safety regulations
* Maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams
Requirements
Essential:
* Full UK Driving Licence (minimum 5 years, clean)
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
* Positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic
* Flexible approach to working hours and call-out rota
* Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Willingness to undergo a DBS check
Desirable (not all essential):
* High-pressure water jetting experience
* CCTV surveying qualifications (OS19 / OS20)
* Experience with Wincan software
* Drain lining and patch repair xsngvjr experience
* Confined Space, CSCS, CITB, PASMA, Working at Height certifications
* Electro-mechanical and Picote equipment experience
* Basic plumbing skills
