Robert Half is excited to collaborate with a fantastic client seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant for a 9-month fixed-term contract (FTC) to cover maternity leave.
Things to Know
* Offering up to £40k.
* Office located in Abingdon — 4 days onsite, 1 day remote work.
* Candidates must be willing to undergo a DBS check.
Responsibilities
* Prepare all aspects of the termly parental fee run and produce fee invoices.
* Process payments onto the billing ledger and prepare banking documentation.
* Review debtors monthly; chase late payers; calculate overdue interest.
* Process daily bank receipts and payments.
* Perform monthly bank reconciliations, including petty cash.
* Liaise with the bank and maintain online banking accounts.
* Manage petty cash collected during events.
* Raise and bank cheques and petty cash.
* Regularly reconcile balance sheet accounts.
* Process termly journals in PASS for prepayments and accruals.
* Enter all other one-off journals in PASS.
* Maintain fixed asset registers and process depreciation and adjustments quarterly.
* Serve as a key contact during the annual financial audit, liaising with auditors and collating information.
* Assist in preparing quarterly and annual statutory accounts.
Requirements
* Previous experience in an accounting role.
* Experience with accruals and prepayments.
* Strong communication skills.
