Primary Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Prospero Teaching is working with a ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated SEN School based in Southampton, recruiting a Primary Teaching Assistant (SEMH).
The school is looking for individuals who are supportive, non-judgemental, patient, easy to talk to, positive, and flexible. You must be able to communicate with pupils in a manner that encourages and supports them, enabling you to build trusting relationships.
Previous experience working with young people is desirable. Experience with autistic children and those with social communication difficulties would be an advantage. A team player with patience, understanding, and a willingness to develop is needed.

Experience, Training, and Qualifications
* Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
* Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.
* Driven to motivate the pupil and increase his participation.
* The ability to support personal development.
* Caring, patient, and good communication skills.
* Self-reflective, willing to learn, and demonstrate initiative.
* Experience supporting an individual with Autism.
* Willing to complete Safeguarding online training.
* Complete a face-to-face interview or video call.
Eligibility Criteria
* Hold the right to work in the UK.
* Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
* Provide two professional child-related references.
