Process material for cabinet makers to produce high-quality cabinets, bars, screens, workstations, etc., to high specifications and within agreed timescales. Support cabinet makers in the production and assembly process.
Key Accountabilities
1. Programme and operate CNC machine (Masterwood Project 400).
2. Read and interpret CAD drawings, designs, technical drawings, and written instructions.
3. Control allocated work from pre-manufacture to completion, adhering to strict timelines.
4. Demonstrate high competence in using woodworking machines, power tools, and hand tools, safely and in compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
5. Overcome technical making issues.
6. Ensure meticulous creation of perfect joints, symmetry, and sharp lines.
7. Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the factory.
8. Keep a clean, tidy, and safe working space.
9. Maintain tools, equipment, and machinery.
10. Assist site fitting teams when required.
What we are looking for
1. Experienced CNC operator (preferably using Masterwood Project 400), with knowledge of Masterworks software.
2. Experienced cabinet maker (3+ years) with good knowledge of production techniques, materials, and finishes.
3. Excellent attention to detail.
4. Commitment to quality and a ‘right first time’ approach.
5. Ability to think one step ahead, considering how components fit together on site, as well as the requirements of the spray department to achieve the best outcome.
6. Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
Education/Qualifications
1. 3+ years practical experience as a CNC operator, with CNC coding capability on Masterworks software.
2. 3+ years practical experience as a cabinet maker.
3. Forklift truck license preferred.
4. UK driving license preferred.
