Overview
Lead and influence the future provision of a dietetic service within Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust as a fixed term 1.0 WTE Paediatric Dietitian Team Leader at the QMC campus, Nottingham.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop the paediatric dietetic team across Oncology, Gastroenterology, General Medicine, Renal, Metabolics and Allergy services.
* Hold a clinical caseload in Paediatric Cystic Fibrosis (CF), covering children’s wards, outpatient CF clinics at QMC, and regional CF clinics.
* Work closely with fellow Dietetic Team Leaders, Therapy Service Managers, Chief Dietetic Technicians, Clinical Leads and Clinical Dietitians to support staff development, appraisal processes, and wellbeing initiatives.
* Provide operational leadership within the paediatric team, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery.
* Offer expert knowledge and support for dietetic colleagues across the multi-disciplinary team.
* Collaborate with consultants, allied health professionals, specialist nurses and social workers to deliver high‑quality evidence‑based care.
* Support staff training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
* Assist in the continuous improvement of dietetic services and uphold high standards of care.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experienced and proactive dietitian with a strong clinical background in paediatric care.
* Excellent communication, organisational, team‑working and leadership skills.
* Capability to manage and support a diverse clinical caseload in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
* Experience in staff supervision and development within a healthcare setting is desirable.
* Willingness to consider other clinical specialities and engage in role‑specific discussions is encouraged.
