The Role
We’re seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Engineering Lecturer to deliver and assess courses from Level 2 to HNC. You’ll work with a diverse range of learners including 14–19-year-olds, adult learners, and apprentices.
Subjects include:
* Mechanical & Electrical/Electronic Principles
* Further Maths & Calculus
* Electronics (Circuit Design, PLCs, Microcontrollers)
* Renewable Energy
Key Responsibilities
* Teach and assess accredited engineering qualifications
* Design and deliver engaging training programmes
* Support qualification development within the Directorate
* Liaise with employers and awarding bodies
* Conduct learner diagnostics and create individual learning plans
* Track learner progress and maintain accurate records
* Ensure compliance with awarding body and quality standards
* Contribute to course reviews and quality improvement processes
* Promote engineering training services to employers and partners
Who You Are
* Qualified Engineer with industry experience
* Hold or willing to work towards a teaching/training qualification (e.g. PGCE, DTTLS)
* Possess A1 Assessor Award (V1 desirable)
* Experienced in course planning and assessment development
* Able to embed e-learning into delivery (desirable)
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills
