An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join a fast‑growing technology company developing innovative special purpose machinery. The business is moving rapidly from R&D and pilot phases into full industrial deployment, delivering complex equipment for a variety of technical applications.
This role offers the chance to work across the full development life cycle, from early‑stage concept and experimentation through to prototype build, scale‑up and production implementation. It is ideal for a proactive engineer who enjoys hands‑on development, technical problem‑solving and working in a fast‑paced environment where innovation and practical engineering go hand in hand.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead development projects from concept through to scale‑up
* Develop solutions to support complex manufacturing processes and equipment
* Build and test prototypes
* 3D CAD design
* Identify emerging technologies, innovations and external developments
* Ensure designs are optimised for manufacture and assembly
Skills & Experience Required
* 2+ years experience in a product development environment
* Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Background in special purpose machinery design
* Strong 3D CAD skills
* Hands‑on experience with workshop tools, prototyping or 3D printing
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail
