Role Overview
As a Sales Engineer (UK), you will play a pivotal role in accelerating growth across the UK market. You'll work closely with leadership to execute the go-to-market strategy, build influence with key industry stakeholders and support customers technically to ensure adoption and long-term success.
You'll become a trusted expert across industrial switches and safety products, helping secure specification wins and opening new commercial pathways through EPCs, distributors, system integrators, and panel builders.
This is not a "milk-round sales role", it's a market penetration role where your influence, relationships and technical capability will directly shape the UK's business trajectory.
Key Objectives
Execute the Go-To-Market Strategy
* Support and deliver the UK market entry plan with clear commercial outcomes
* Identify and influence key stakeholders across the electrical engineering supply chain
EPC Market Entry & Specification
* Leverage your authority to secure specification within top EPC firms
* Build relationships with procurement leaders, engineering teams, and project managers
* Navigate decision-making structures and unlock long-term framework opportunities
Distribution Expansion
* Support the development of high-value distribution partnerships
* Ensure distribution partners have the tools, resources and technical confidence to succeed
* Support quarterly partner events to accelerate engagement and sales
System Integrators & Panel Builders
* Expand influence within SIs and PBs to create downstream product demand
* Implement targeted engagement programmes to drive measurable project wins
* Track and report conversion rates of SI/PB opportunities into closed business
Brand Awareness & Market Presence
* Attend key industry shows
* Support the creation of marketing and commercial assets through market insight
* Continuously gather intelligence on competitor activity, pricing and regulatory trends
Customer Technical Support
* Act as the technical specialist and trusted advisor for customers
* Respond to technical and commercial enquiries
* Provide ongoing customer feedback to support product development and improvement
Success Metrics
Your performance will be measured through clear, commercial outcomes including:
* Securing multiple EPC specifications
* Supporting UK revenue growth with ambitious but achievable growth targets
* Expanding active distributor partnerships
* Converting SI and Panel Builder relationships into active project wins
* Increasing brand awareness and influence across key UK industry stakeholders
What We're Looking For
You'll likely be:
* A proven Sales Engineer or technical sales professional with experience in industrial electrical products
* Confident working across different customer profiles for example: EPCs, distributors, system integrators and panel builders
* Technically credible, commercially sharp and able to influence decision-makers
* Comfortable operating autonomously with ownership of objectives
* Resilient, tenacious and motivated by building something new
Ideal Background
* Electrical engineering / industrial electrical sales experience
* Knowledge of industrial switches, isolators, switch fuses, safety switches, or similar/adjacent product categories
* Strong understanding of technical specification selling and route-to-market strategy
