ALS Laboratories are looking for a Laboratory Analyst Grade 1 to support their Waste Metals department at ALS Wakefield. Laboratory Analysts require a good mix of skills.
The person will be responsible for grinding soils, weighing and filtering samples with a hands on approach to analysis, and progressing in the role will expose you to, and build experience with instrumental analysis.
The right candidate will have a keen eye for detail, and be able to closely follow instructions.

Hours Per Week: 37
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (Flexible between 06:00 and 18:00)
Contract: Full Time and 6 Months Fixed Term
Salary: £22,549 per annum
Key Responsibilities
* Understand customer requirements.
* Ensure samples are completed efficiently and effectively following all process, procedures, and legislation.
* Deliver on key performance indicators, assisting team members to achieve work objectives.
* Report analytical data for a range of land samples.
* Proactively ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures
* Work with other team members to ensure efficient flow of samples

About you:
* Qualifications required are 5 GCSEs at Grade C (equivalent to new Grade 4) or above to include Science, Maths and English and preferably an A level or equivalent in scientific subject.
