Overview
We are looking to fill a full-time post for an Occupational Therapy Assistant in the Local Mental Health Team covering the City North area of Nottingham. The role will work alongside experienced Occupational Therapists to deliver recovery-focused interventions and support patients in their own homes and local environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Implement high-quality Occupational Therapy intervention plans collaboratively with patients in their own homes and local environments.
* Work alongside qualified staff within a multidisciplinary Local Mental Health Team.
* Participate in profession-specific and clinical supervision provided by identified Occupational Therapists.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Proactive, compassionate, caring and recovery-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
* Full UK driving licence and a vehicle for business use (reasonable adjustments for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010).
* Required to undergo and pay for a DBS check; costs (£26.40 standard or £54.40 enhanced) deducted from salary over first 2 months.
* Discretion to enrol in the DBS Update Service; annual fee £16 applies.
* Post does not meet the pay or skill level required for a Skilled Worker visa; no sponsorship available.
* Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience will normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
