The Role
We are currently seeking an office-based Sales Support and Business Development Manager, reporting directly into the Head of Sales. In this role you will manage customers, identify new business opportunities, and support with all day-to-day admin requirements for the sales function of our business. This is an important role within our growing business and we are looking for someone that understands the principles of selling and an individual that is driven, hungry and passionate about delivering great results in what will be a varied yet rewarding role. Being office based, this role will require you to be both confident on the phone and have great attention to detail for all admin related aspects.
Key responsibilities:
-Develop new business through our range of existing local, distributors/wholesalers.
-Prospecting new customers from lead to close of business, selling the right range to the right customers
-Ongoing account management, both maintaining and developing our range within the defined customers, primarily Distributors/Wholesalers and local customers
-Implement effective annual promotional plans to ensure maximum return on investment.
-Effectively manage your calendar to ensure your time is optimised.
-Managing and developing the full relationship with National and Regional accounts, from initial phone enquiry to processing the order and all invoicing
-Management of both inbound and outbound customer related calls, both for orders and general enquiries.
-Download and accept customer orders in a timely fashion for all UK customers and processing of required invoices.
-Ensure company CRM system is kept up to date with relevant information.
-To assist in the day to day running of the sales department including completion of ad hoc tasks as required and coordination of all order shipments.
-Liaising with customers to ensure all requested documents are either uploaded onto their system or sent by email.
-Provide absence cover and support for the wider team where required.
-Attend and represent the company at Trade Shows or industry events
About You:
-Exceptional time management skills with ability to plan and manage multiple tasks at once through a proactive and driven approach.
-Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish goals
-Excellent negotiation and communication skilled with enthusiastic, personable, and entrepreneurial nature.
-Financial numeracy to be able to build strategically sound, financially robust proposals to maximise opportunities
-Good capability on Excel, Word and PowerPoint with an ability to learn new IT systems.
Due to our office location, you will require a reliable mode of transport to get to/from the office.
