Tool Room Supervisor Location: Headquarters in Elland, West Yorkshire Reporting to: Process Engineering Manager Contract type: Full-time, permanent The Opportunity The Toolroom Supervisor is responsible for leading the Toolroom function, including supervising a small team of engineers, technicians, and apprentices. They will oversee the development of efficient maintenance practices, ensure tooling reliability, and support continuous improvement. Working cross-functionally with Production and Engineering teams, this role ensures that tooling and processes are safe, capable, and aligned with production demands. In This Role, You Will Define and implement preventative maintenance programmes across all tooling types (Injection, Rotational, Extrusion, PU Casting). Provide technical input to tooling design & improvement initiatives, CAD/CAM activities, and general machining support. Attend tooling reviews and support new tooling introduction where needed Provide coaching, development, and performance oversight for toolroom personnel. Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards, ensuring compliance and promoting a culture of safety. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Proven experience with injection mould tooling of varied complexities. Familiarity with preventative maintenance strategies and fault diagnosis. Competent in CAD/CAM systems. Knowledge of hot runner systems and lifting equipment protocols. Strong leadership and mentoring abilities. Why A-SAFE?
