We are working on behalf of a lovely Private Nursery in the NG4 area of Nottingham who are looking to appoint a Level 3 Nursery Nurse. This role is Wed - Fri 12.00-18.00 all year round. You'll be working in a fantastic, supportive, private Nursery with pupils aged 0-5. you will be working in the toddler room with the opportunity of career progression to room leader. Interviews immediate due to the start date being next Wednesday (12.1.26) Duties Provide attentive and responsive care to children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning through play, focusing on the developmental milestones of each child. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and hygiene practices, ensuring a structured environment. Communicate effectively with children in English, using age-appropriate language to encourage their verbal skills. Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and address any concerns regarding their development. Maintain a clean and safe nursery environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Demonstrate leadership by guiding junior staff members and supporting their professional development. Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's educational offerings and overall quality of care. Qualifications A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential. Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. A genuine passion for childcare and the ability to connect with children on an individual level. Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early years education. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
