Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Severe Learning Difficulties & Communication Needs

Contract: Full-time, long-term
About the Setting:
A specialist provision supporting children with severe learning difficulties, significant communication needs, ASC, and sensory-based challenges. The environment is warm, creative, and highly individualised.
The Role:
We’re looking for LSAs who are passionate about inclusive practice and supporting children with high-level SEND.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide personalised support for pupils with significant needs
2. Assist with sensory regulation and structured learning routines
3. Support communication using PECS, visuals, objects of reference, or Makaton
4. Promote independence, engagement, and confidence
5. Contribute to a nurturing, positive classroom experience
Ideal Candidate:
6. Experience within SEND or personal experience supporting disability
7. Comfortable with personal care (where required)
8. Warm, patient, adaptable
9. Strong team player

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
