Salary: £42,897 - £47,712
Technology is ever evolving, and we are too. To ensure we’re at the forefront of emerging technologies and innovations we are expanding our IT team. This means we can consistently improve our services, working together to keep our officers, staff, and communities safe.
As our IT Network Engineer, you will ensure incidents involving networks are resolved to reduce adverse effects on the organisation. You will also be converting theoretical plans into physical designs ensuring they meet operation parameters.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Use agreed approaches to design specific network components.
* Provide insight into vulnerabilities through the delivery of penetration testing.
* Research emerging technologies and their benefit to the force for presentation to senior stakeholders.
The must haves
* Experience investigating network incidents and monitoring internal/external escalation.
* Skilled documenting systems and resolving problems using appropriate techniques.
* Previous work with networking technologies assisting with procurement decisions.
Due to the vetting level required for this role, applicants must have 5 years' continuous residency in the UK.
