Due to the growth of our in-house repairs team, we're excited to announce a full time, permanent role for a Multi Skilled Engineer (Roofer) We're looking for a talented individual with a core trade specialism in roofing to join our team, based in Cwmbran, Torfaen. Whether you hold a formal roofing qualification or bring extensive hands-on experience, we'd love to hear from you. You'll be working directly in customers' homes, delivering essential repairs that make a real difference to people's lives. What are the pay and benefits?
* The salary for this role is £32,512 for a 40 hour full time permanent position.
* Our Pobl Repairs Team covers areas between Haverfordwest and Monmouthshire, with our office base in Torfaen.
* Working days are predominately Monday to Friday days or you can work compressed hours on a 9 day fortnight.

* 26 days holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays , rising to 30 days with length of service
* It is essential for the successful candidate to have a full drivers licence.
* For this role we require a basic DBS check, which we pay for.

Where does this role fit in?
You'll be a key member of our Pobl Reactive Repairs Team, carrying out repairs in occupied homes. This means great customer service is just as important as your trade skills, as you'll be the face of Pobl for many of our tenants. You may occasionally support our Voids or Planned teams depending on the needs of the service, so flexibility and a team focused attitude are essential.
What skills and experience do you need?
We're Looking For a Multi Skilled Engineer With
* A City & Guilds or NVQ (or equivalent) in roofing, or extensive proven experience in roofing (essential)
* Practical experience in roofing
* Confidence working in people's homes and providing a professional, courteous service
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
* A willingness to carry out work in other trade areas (e.g. basic plastering, carpentry, brickwork, etc.)
* A flexible and positive approach to work and problem-solving
* A full UK driving licence
* A strong commitment to health and safety
Bonus
if you've worked in a social housing environment or have experience using mobile working systems – but these are not essential.
