Derwent Hill is a busy, friendly Outdoor Education & Training Centre situated in idyllic surroundings in Portinscale, just outside Keswick, Cumbria. We offer high‑quality residential outdoor education courses for schools, colleges and youth groups, as well as corporate training events and group accommodation for adults.
Three posts: 2 x Permanent Variable Hours and 1 x Permanent Hours (30 per week). The role is varied and flexible, often involving evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the service of meals, including preparation and serving.
* Perform general housework and cleaning of the centre.
* Carry out bar service.
* Provide accommodation assistance when required.
As part of Sunderland City Council, the post offers excellent terms and conditions, including a generous local government pension.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will be subject to a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
