Clients range from SMEs through to FTSE100 companies, and cover systems such as Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, Access Control, CCTV and Nurse Call systems.
The Role
We are seeking a technically skilled and sales-driven Fire & Security Systems Sales Engineer to join our busy Sales team.
Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly to enquiries, creating strategies to win orders
* Arrange and conduct site surveys where required
* Produce accurate designs, quotations, and proposals following industry standards
* Prepare quotations for small works, remedial tasks, and system enhancements
* Convert engineer reports into quotations with accuracy and speed
* Create tailored proposals that clearly communicate customer value
* Review specifications and drawings to ensure compliant bids
* Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and produce forecasts
* Support colleagues in presenting proposals and following up with clients
* Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise client value

The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a motivated, customer-focused professional with both sales and technical expertise. About you:
* At least 5 years' experience in surveying and designing fire, security, access, or call systems
* Strong communication skills, especially telephone and client-facing
* Experience in sales or estimating within the fire & security industry
* Training and knowledge of relevant British Standards and design guidelines
* High IT literacy (CAD skills an advantage)
* Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
* A proactive, driven, and customer-centric approach
