Responsibilities
* Support the Executive Head Chef and Senior Kitchen Management in the day-to-day running of the Kitchen. Assist with the preparation and delivery of breakfast, lunch and dinner for up to 400 guests daily, ensuring meals meet and exceed the standard and adhere to dish specifications.
* Lead by example in supporting and delivering the Company’s Vision and Mission, customer service standards, and Kitchen Departmental operating standards.
* Comply with all legal and company hygiene, health and safety procedures, and lead by example in maintaining sanitation and safety.
* Ensure designated shift team members understand their health, hygiene and safety responsibilities and follow all health, hygiene and fire procedures.
* Complete opening and closing procedures for the designated kitchen and assist with other operational resort kitchens as required to sustain high cleanliness levels.
* Maintain accurate HACCP and cleaning records and report any defects to support maintaining a 5-star EHO rating.
* Have full knowledge of all allergens and manage guest dietary requirements, including meetings with guests to discuss needs.
* Support Demi Chefs, Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters with guidance and coaching, including recommending training or on-the-job development.
* Pursue personal development to support future growth within the kitchen.
Hours & Salary
Hours: 45 hours per week, straight shifts between 6am and 9pm, including weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
Salary: £34,250 per annum
Qualifications
* Culinary experience with a minimum of 2 years at a similar level in a demanding kitchen
* Strong leadership and motivational qualities with supervisory experience
* Standards-driven with focus on quality and attention to detail
* Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
* NVQ Level 2 or equivalent catering qualification
