You will work on a day shift basis in a small Children’s Home in a rural community within South Powys. The home supports children and young people with complex emotional and behavioural difficulties due to their early life experience. You will create a safe, healthy, learning and fulfilled home where children have their voices heard and achieve positive outcomes in their lives.

What you will do:
* Work on a day shift rota to provide continuous care as part of a team for the children and young people living in the home.
* Build positive relationships through nurturing, teaching connection, maintaining a patient and calm manner, and promoting healthy, safe routines by creating a warm and inclusive home.
* Organise and promote activities for children and young people to learn new things, explore interests, hobbies, and life skills within the home and the local community.
* Work in partnership with families and carers of young people to achieve the aims and objectives of the young people’s plans.
* Follow agreed policies, procedures and legislative standards in your work.
* Always strive to keep up to date with best practice.

* This position requires an enhanced DBS check.
