Real Estate Solicitor (2-4 PQE) – Southampton | Hybrid Working A national law firm with a strong regional presence is recruiting a Real Estate Solicitor with 2-4 years' PQE to join its established and growing development team in Southampton. This role offers high-quality real estate work, early responsibility and the flexibility of hybrid working. The team advises on a broad range of real estate matters, with a primary focus on residential-led development and strategic land projects. Work also includes commercial development, regeneration, investment and asset management for national businesses, regional property companies and owner-occupier clients. The team is also recognised for its work on natural capital and sustainability-driven projects, including biodiversity net gain, nutrient neutrality and water neutrality schemes, as well as contentious and non-contentious agricultural matters. Recent matters include advising a national land promoter on strategic land promotion agreements across the UK, acting on the promotion of a 250-acre site delivering up to 1,500 residential units, advising habitat banks and mitigation providers on conservation covenants and biodiversity net gain projects, supporting well-known owner-occupiers with portfolio expansion and refinancing, advising further education colleges on leases, redevelopment and disposals and acting on the acquisition and development of a £50m mixed-use scheme including residential, offices, hotel and student accommodation. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Solicitor who wants exposure to complex, high-value development work and the chance to work closely with partners from an early stage. You will be well organised, commercially aware and confident handling matters with appropriate supervision. The role also offers scope to get involved in business development and wider practice growth. You should have c 2-4 years' PQE and experience in residential development, commercial development or general commercial property work.
