Job Summary

You will build clinical skills with a view to conducting patient reviews including assessing blood results and drug toxicity/side effects against SACT regimen protocols, to provide medicines education and to support measures of quality assurance such as data collection and audit to enable service improvement and growth. The postholder will also contribute to the smooth running and development of the service to give patients access to oral SACT treatments in a timely manner, and closer to home.

Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with the nurse‑led oral SACT team and other multi‑disciplinary team members to ensure Christie patients have timely access to their medicines.
* Conduct patient reviews against SACT regimen protocols, taking into account blood results, toxicity assessments and medicines information and education needs.
* Contribute to medicines education resources.
* Support data collection and audit for service improvement.
* Develop the service to enable medicines access across all Christie sites, liaising with a variety of teams and specialities across the Trust.
* Be a strong team player with effective interpersonal, communication and organisational skills as well as a keen interest and enthusiasm for patient‑focused services and continual improvement.
* Contribute to the wider clinical pharmacy service as defined in the job specification.
* Track, document and report on service utilisation and drug usage to support cost‑effective medicine delivery models.
* Assist the Chief Clinical Pharmacy Technician in coordinating pharmacy technician, assistant and PTPT activities across clinical services.
* Support recruitment, reviews, education and development of clinical pharmacy staff.
* Participate in service improvement initiatives, budgeting, and business case development.
* Ensure compliance with COSHH, NHS, and BOPA guidelines and manage confidential data securely.
* Participate in weekly and holiday rotas and present at departmental meetings.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent (C/A)
* NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (C/A)
* GPhC registration (A)
* BTEC Level 4 Professional Diploma in Dispensing Checking or equivalent (C/A)
* BTEC Pharmacy Clinical Services Professional Diploma Level 4 or willingness to work towards it (C/A)
* Management qualification or willingness to work towards it (C/A)
* Evidence of continuing professional development (A)
Desirable Qualifications
* Educational Supervisor accreditation or A1 Assessor or equivalent (C/A)
* BOPA SACT Passport (A)
