Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday – Permanent
Location: Can be based in any of our offices across Argyll & Bute and includes hybrid working
A unique opportunity has arisen to join a leading organisation in the non-profit sector as the Group Services Director. We are looking to recruit an individual who will provide strategic and operational leadership in relation to all Group Services functions including Finance, Organisational Development, IT, Transformation and Business Improvement and Corporate Support Services. The role will include the management of all financial activities including development and implementation of the financial strategy, preparation of annual accounts and the control of Group’s financial affairs. The Group Services Director will, with other members of the Senior Management Team, lead on the ACHA Groups’ Business Transformation and continuous improvement through the implementation of ACHA’s new Target Operating Model design principals making a meaningful impact to our tenants and wider community.
The successful candidate will lead the operational teams through championing a positive work culture, ensuring policies and procedures are in line with the organisation's culture and values. They will prepare, coordinate and implement effective financial and governance controls, policies and procedures for the Group that are supported by appropriate performance targets and indicators. The Group Services Director will also lead and develop the team responsible for the Groups Transformation support including delivery of the project plan, process reviews and business improvement and the development of robust data insight across the Group.
The post holder must be educated to degree level in a relevant finance discipline and be a professional member of a professional accountancy body. You must also have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in service leadership roles with proven experience delivering strategic plans, with extensive senior level accountancy experience.
Proven experience in the development and control of annual operating budgets are also essential for this role, along with the ability to provide financial advice and guidance to the company’s mangers and staff to enable them to achieve their objectives.
