Your Responsibilities:
1. Understand and proactively manage TalkTalk's spend within your category, developing comprehensive strategies to ensure procurement activities support business objectives. Success is measured by impact on company KPIs, including financial and non-financial metrics.
2. Identify and prioritize opportunities for procurement to add value, executing strategic sourcing or negotiations, establishing appropriate contracts, and managing performance throughout the contract lifecycle.
3. Represent procurement within relevant business leadership teams, including the Executive Committee and their direct reports.
4. Build business cases and navigate them through governance processes.
5. Contribute positively and proactively to the TalkTalk procurement team.
Core Skills Required:
* Ability to influence challenging stakeholders and collaborate effectively.
* Strong relationship-building skills based on mutual trust and respect.
* Proven experience in delivering value through strategic procurement activities.
* Experience in managing RFx processes, sourcing projects, and negotiations.
* Skilled negotiator with a strategic mindset.
* Data literacy with proficiency in Excel and extracting insights from complex data sets.
* Basic understanding of financial accounting principles, including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow.
* Attention to detail with strategic and long-term thinking.
* Knowledge of commercial contracts, including drafting and management.
* Understanding SRM principles, including performance and contractual management.
* Enthusiasm for professional growth through training and industry events.
* Experience in the Telecom industry is not mandatory.
Category-Specific Skills:
* Passion for sourcing, negotiation, and delivering savings.
* Knowledge of supply chain best practices.
