Are you a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with experience in mental health and have previous Band 7 experience? We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Deputy Team Manager for Oak Team in the City and NE Oxfordshire Adult Mental Health Team (AMHT) in Oxford. This senior role offers a chance to develop managerial and leadership skills whilst continuing varied and complex clinical work in a supportive, multidisciplinary team dedicated to high‑quality care for individuals in the community. The post holder will work Monday–Friday 9 am–5 pm.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
* Act as a clinical expert and lead the development of clinical practice, providing evidence‑based holistic patient care across diverse settings, from assessment to treatment and discharge, including medication administration within agreed guidelines.
* Co‑ordinate day‑to‑day clinical activities to ensure the smooth running of the AMHT.
* Manage a small number of patients.
* Provide day‑to‑day management and clinical supervision to staff, supporting ongoing development and performance management.
* Undertake clinical duties including duty shifts, conducting assessments, and risk assessing.
* Liaise with other services and stakeholders, often acting as a link person for complex situations.
* Act as Duty Manager on a rota that includes weekends and out‑of‑hours work, with full shadowing support for those new to the role.
* Deputise for the Team Manager as required.
