An exciting opportunity to join a friendly Front Door and Frailty therapy team as a Band 7 Occupational Therapist.
You will work as part of a proactive team in a fast-paced yet supportive environment, helping patients return home and follow appropriate recovery plans. Our team adopts a dynamic, holistic approach to make rapid decisions to ensure patients and their families receive the right support.
You will provide leadership, training, and supervision to less experienced staff, students, and non-qualified staff.
The role involves rostered weekends as part of a 7-day working pattern, with off-duty days during the week.
You will deliver a specialist Occupational Therapy service for patients attending Accident and Emergency (A&E), other front door areas, and the frailty ward.
Using advanced clinical reasoning skills, you will provide specialist support and advice to the integrated therapy team (occupational therapy and physiotherapy) while maintaining a clinical caseload of complex patients as an autonomous practitioner.
You should have a dynamic approach to work and be capable of leading an integrated team, especially during times of change, to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care within the specialty.
You will contribute to the weekend and Bank Holiday rota.
