The role
The FP&A Controller is responsible for ensuring that Budgeting and Forecasting for our Client(s) is managed effectively and in a timely manner, in accordance with Client requirements.
The objectives of the role include:
* Delivering high-standard Client and property budgeting and forecasting services that meet service levels required by the Client;
* Maintaining complete and up-to-date records and financial management, including applying accounting regulations, query management, service charge management, reconciliations, capex, opex, and other Client-specific procedures;
* Collaborating with surveyors, Clients, occupiers, and team members to resolve queries efficiently;
* Supporting contractual compliance across the team, including meeting SLAs and KPIs on behalf of BNPPRE;
* Continuously improving processes for market-leading financial management, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Processes
Develop, implement, and improve processes and procedures to ensure service standards are met for internal and external clients. Work with internal audit and compliance to ensure control requirements are fulfilled and participate in controls of activities.
Service Delivery
Work with the management team to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and control of daily operations. Act as the principal contact for Clients, surveyors, and relevant parties regarding accounting service delivery. Monitor and produce budgets and forecasts, provide analysis, build financial models, and ensure services are delivered per contract. Attend client meetings, understand their needs, interpret requirements, and respond appropriately. Collaborate with team members on accounting records and reporting goals. Ensure Quality Assurance reviews are completed before issuance and assist in audits.

* Enhance BNP Paribas Real Estate’s reputation through successful project delivery.
Systems and Process
* Evaluate, adapt, and improve standards, techniques, and procedures;
* Participate in selecting, testing, and implementing new system features to support accounting operations and contribute to BNP Paribas Real Estate projects.
Person Specification
* Highly numerate with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills;
* Experience in an accounting team within property management or similar environment;
* Qualified or part-qualified in CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent, or qualified through experience; GCSEs including Maths and English;
* Experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, operations, controls;
* Tenacious, presentable, assertive, adaptable, self-aware, self-motivated with professional manner;
* Conscientious with understanding of accounting and data protection;
* Knowledge of accounting techniques, including general ledger transactions, is advantageous;
* Committed to customer service and meeting deadlines;
* Commercially astute, innovative, solutions-oriented;
* Organized, methodical, capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines;
* Excellent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with property management and accounting packages (e.g., Trace Tramps, Yardi, Voyager, Qube Horizon) is a plus.
