Position Purpose
Project Managers (PMs) play the lead role in planning, developing, executing, monitoring, and delivering projects. They are accountable for the entire project scope, budget, team, and resources, all leading to the successful execution of the project. The core goal is “Happy Client, Happy Team, At a Profit”.
Responsibilities
* Project Management
* Successful delivery of Project Scope, Schedule, and Budget
* Ensure that the Client’s vision is considered throughout the Project lifecycle
* Sustain Client and Customer satisfaction, exceeding expectations regularly
* Internal and external communication of Project status and progress
* Management of final deliverables, ensuring TAIT quality throughout delivery
* Draw together engineering, manufacturing, operational and support disciplines to ensure Project success
* Risk monitoring and delay management
* Active management of Project financials
* Bidding & Development
* Participate in translating Client needs into “TAIT language”
* Generate or collaborate on Project Proposals and Quotes
* Drive the development of creative and technical solutions
* Participate in cost estimates and determine contingencies
* Establish pricing and payment schedules
* Commercial, Contractual & Legal: understand project commercial terms and relationships; act as Client advocate; maintain client relationships
* Project Finances & Budgets: plan cashflow, maintain payment schedules, lead “As Sold” budgets, maintain forecasts
* Monitor and control project costs and Change Orders
* Raise early flags for risks and opportunities; provide periodic status reports
* Organizational Relationships & Participation: be the point of contact for senior leadership and collaborate with project performance and operations
* Proactive, open, and transparent communication; attend check-ins and strategic discussions
* Support continuous improvements and lessons learned discussions
* Education and Growth: stay knowledgeable of TAIT’s history and capabilities; pursue learning opportunities
* Strong in hard and soft skills; work on projects expanding knowledge in new markets
Position Requirements
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
* Proven track record of managing profitable projects
* Proven ability to prioritize across multiple projects
* Commercial and contractual responsibilities
* Cost estimation and control
* Risk management
* Familiarity with Slack
* Work within a matrixed organizational structure
* HS Diploma/GED plus experience in Entertainment Industry or Project Management OR Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Technical Theatre or Live Event related field, plus experience in Entertainment Industry or Project Management
* The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and agile environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset
* Strong knowledge of following software: Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Project scheduling tools (e.g. MS Project, Asana); Budget management and analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau); ERP systems (Epicor, SAP); CRM systems (Zendesk, Salesforce); Content Management Systems (Box, SharePoint, Google Drive)
* Familiarity with manufacturing or fabrication processes and principles
* Ability to be in office Monday - Friday, with travel to job sites up to 30%
