About the Role
Reporting into the technology leadership team, you will join a small, highly skilled platform engineering team responsible for building and scaling a modern cloud-based infrastructure that supports the entire organisation. The team values simplicity, automation, testing, and reliability, and is looking for individuals who combine technical excellence with commercial awareness and strong problem-solving ability.
Responsibilities
* Contribute to the major build-out of functionality on a new enterprise platform
* Help design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure
* Participate in a shared BAU support rota (across technology and quantitative teams), providing exposure to diverse areas of the business
* Collaborate closely with engineering, analytics, and risk teams
* Continuously improve platform reliability, security, and performance
Tech Stack
* Infrastructure as Code: Terraform
* Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure
* Programming Languages: Python, Rust
* Databases: Postgres, ClickHouse
Required Skills & Experience
* Strong analytical background (typically a degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field)
* Applied programming experience (Python, Rust, C++, or similar)
* Experience designing and developing cloud-based architectures
* Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
