Planned Maintenance Project Manager
Location: Burnley, Hybrid with travel to site as required to meet customer needs.
Salary: £47,433 per annum (per spot rate, with potential for progression based on experience). Car allowance starting at £1,250 per annum.
Overview
At Accent, our planned works programmes focus on more than buildings; they’re about the people who live in them. In this role, you’ll manage a portfolio of high‑value maintenance and investment projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
* Take ownership of planned maintenance and refurbishment projects from inception through to completion.
* Manage regional budgets of £5–6 million and ensure projects stay within financial targets.
* Coordinate with internal teams and around a dozen external contractors, providing strong performance and excellent customer experience.
* Inspect works before, during, and after completion, manage risks, uphold health and safety standards, and communicate clearly with residents and stakeholders.
* Implement continuous improvement across the housing stock.
Qualifications
Essentials
* Experience of construction management in planned maintenance/refurbishments.
* Experience managing external contractors.
* Knowledge of health and safety issues affecting properties.
* Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
* Significant forecasting and budget management experience.
* IT skills relating to Project Management or Asset Management systems.
Desirables
* Previous experience in social housing.
* Ability to conduct stock condition/energy performance surveys.
* Report writing skills.
