Job Details: Housing Recovery Coordinator
Waythrough launched in October 2024 following the merger of Humankind and Richmond Fellowship. Our vision is to break down barriers that prevent people from accessing the support they need to live a valued life. We address poverty and disadvantage in communities through mental health, drug and alcohol, housing, and related support services.
We operate nearly 200 services across England with approximately 3,500 staff and volunteers, supporting around 125,000 people annually.

Position Details:
* Permanent, Full-Time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
* Location: Dispersed within County Durham, working alongside Housing Solutions and County Durham Drug and Alcohol Service
* Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle
About the Role:
We seek motivated Housing Recovery Workers to support individuals across Durham County. Key qualities include a positive attitude, enthusiasm, integrity, initiative, and a commitment to addressing housing issues related to substance misuse.
This role involves supporting those in treatment or residing in temporary accommodation, helping them access services related to housing, financial, healthcare, and other practical issues stemming from substance misuse.
Note: Driving is essential for this role.
Key Duties:
* Provide outreach support and advice to adults in the community to help them secure suitable accommodation and promote independent living
* Manage caseloads, conduct needs and risk assessments, and develop support plans to meet individual needs
* Conduct outreach to referral agencies and stakeholders, promote services, receive referrals, and participate in multiagency meetings as needed
