Senior Leadership – Supply Chain & Services
NHS Highland is creating a new senior leadership role to bring together supply chain, logistics, transport, fleet and community equipment services into a single integrated function. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, this high‑profile post will design and deliver a modern, board‑wide service that directly supports patient care across a large and diverse geography.
The consolidation programme is already underway, including supporting the development of the Board’s new logistics hub at Ronach House. The post holder will build on this progress, shaping the future operating model, developing a high‑performing team and delivering the benefits of a fully integrated service.
Responsibilities
* Set the strategic direction for supply chain, warehousing, transport, fleet and community equipment services.
* Lead delivery across multiple sites.
* Manage a commercial portfolio of approximately £6.5m.
* Lead a team of around 35 staff.
* Influence at both Board and national level.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experienced leaders across supply chain, logistics, operations and related fields, or comparable complex, multi‑site environments.
* Strong leadership capability, commercial and financial acumen.
* Credibility to operate effectively with senior stakeholders.
* NHS experience helpful but not essential.
