About The Role

As a manufacturing cell leader, you will manage and develop a team of technicians and operators in a manufacturing cell, ensuring production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.
The Cell Leader will be based at our Barnstaple site, requiring onsite presence 5 days a week. The salary for this role is up to £40k, depending on experience.
What you'll do
* Enforce safety rules and lead by example
* Ensure quality and manufacturing cost controls are met
* Manage staff attendance, handle disputes, recruit new team members
* Develop your team through training and skills development
* Ensure production planning and output targets are achieved
* Audit documents regularly for compliance
* Run Gemba meetings and maintain logs
* Maintain standards of 5S in the cell
* Keep standard work, SQDIP boards, and targets up to date
* Collaborate with Production Manager and engineering teams
* Address customer issues proactively
* Manage work in progress and control work orders

The skills you need
* Experience as a Team/Group Leader
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes and products
* Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, AS9100)
* Ability to multitask and prioritize
* Ability to interpret designs
