Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Location: Woodlands Primary Academy, Bradwell, Norfolk

Salary: Scale F, points 12-17, £28, - £31, (actual £21, - £23,)

Start Date: 1st September

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: 33 hours, 39 weeks. 08:15 - 15:30 Monday - Friday

About You:

Woodlands Primary Academy is seeking a skilled and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to play a key role in enriching the learning experience across our school. You’ll take ownership of agreed learning activities within a structured framework, planning, preparing, and delivering sessions to individuals, small groups, or whole classes. With your experience, initiative, and proactive mindset, you’ll be a valued partner to both pupils and staff - helping to create a dynamic and supportive environment where every child can thrive.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

1. GCSE English and Maths, Grade 3 minimum or equivalent

2. NVQ Level 3 in working as a teaching assistant or equivalent

3. Experience in working with young people

4. Good understanding of child development and learning processes – including behaviour management techniques

5. Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
