Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mental Health Band 4 Clinical Support Assistant to join the Community Mental Health Team in North Warwickshire & Rugby, working with a mixture of patients with psychotic and non-psychotic presentations. The role involves delivering mental health psycho‑education in various formats, implementing cognitive behavioural approaches, and providing supportive interventions to clients.
Responsibilities
* Deliver mental health psycho‑education to individuals and groups in base, home, and online settings.
* Implement cognitive behavioural approaches and other evidence‑based interventions independently after intensive training.
* Manage a defined caseload of clients under indirect supervision and provide treatment to service users.
* Assist service users who call during times of distress and help them use coping skills.
* Participate in triage for routine referrals to the Community Mental Health Team.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and manage waiting lists for interventions.
* Demonstrate organisational skills, time management, and independent working capability.
Qualifications & Experience
* Good knowledge and experience working with mental health service users, including emotion regulation difficulties, depression and anxiety.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and independently, recognising thresholds of competency.
* Full UK driving licence and vehicle access for community appointments.
* Experience in cognitive behavioural therapy or related evidence‑based interventions preferred.
* Strong communication, warmth, compassion, empathy and relational skills.
