A well-established and growing MEP building services consultancy is looking for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join its Wokingham team.
Known for delivering high-quality, sustainable design solutions, the business works across residential, hospitality, commercial and mixed-use sectors, partnering with leading architects, developers and contractors on both new build and refurbishment projects.
Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer with some industry experience to develop their skills within a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll take on more responsibility across projects, contributing to electrical design from concept through to completion while working alongside experienced engineers.
Responsibilities
Assisting and contributing to the design of electrical building services systemsProducing drawings, calculations and technical documentation with increasing autonomyCoordinating with multidisciplinary teams across a range of projectsAttending site visits, surveys and client/project meetingsSupporting project delivery to meet deadlines and quality standardsDeveloping knowledge of industry standards, regulations and best practiceUsing design software such as AutoCAD and RevitRequirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering1–3 years’ experience in a building services or consultancy environmentGood understanding of electrical design principlesExperience with AutoCAD/Revit (or similar design tools)Strong communication and teamwork skillsProactive approach with a willingness to take ownership and continue learningThe Opportunity
