We are recruiting for a full time Kitchen Assistant to assist in the preparation, service and distribution of meals to patients, staff and visitors based at the Hospital under the supervision of the Head Chef, ensuring all catering areas are maintained in a hygienic, clean and safe manner.

In This Role You’ll
* Assist in the preparation of balanced, appetising meals
* Perform cooking tasks & other kitchen duties
* Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, service areas & dining room
* Wash utensils, dishes & make sure they are stored appropriately
* Rotate stock & put away all deliveries
* Maintain personal hygiene to comply with Cygnet standards and food hygiene regulations
* Handle, maintain & store kitchen equipment in accordance with Cygnet procedures
* Use chemicals in line with Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations
We're Looking For People Who Have
* Previous catering experience
* Food and Hygiene qualification desirable though training will be given
* Practical ability of preparing simple meals
* Must be fluent in the English Language both written and verbal
* Excellent customer service skills
* Be a good communicator and able to liaise with people at all levels
* Knowledge of maintaining a clean, tidy, safe and hygienic environment
* Ability to work well within a team
